Terms and Conditions of Admission

The following article outlines the Terms and Conditions of Admission for International Students.

The parents of students accepted for enrolment at Ellesmere College will be asked to sign a Tuition Contract.  (See How to Apply to Attend Ellesmere College).

International students will abide by the rules of Ellesmere College.  The communication of these is done in the Orientation Programme run for newly-enrolled students.  Students must buy the College Logbook with their stationery:  it includes advice on the day-to-day running of the College as well as key College Rules.

To study at Ellesmere College all International Students must meet the following conditions:

    1. To abide by the College Rules
    2. To attend all classes unless sick.  (A Medical Certificate is required from your regular doctor after 3 consecutive days of sick leave.)
    3. To always be punctual to school and classes.
    4. To meet tuition fees and renew your Student Visa/Permit if necessary.

Further information regarding the above will be given to the students during the Orientation Programme. The College Log Book (which is purchased with Stationary) includes information on the College Code, guidelines and rules.

Where the student does not comply with all or any of these requirements two written warnings will be given.  The third warning is the Final Warning.  Parents will receive copies of all three written warnings.  A copy of the Final Warning will be sent to the New Zealand Immigration Service as evidence that the conditions of the Visa have not been met fully
